    Introduction

It has been awhile since I have seen a Lian Li case in person and it’s not because I haven’t tried but rather that all aluminum cases have really gone down in popularity in favor of the cheaper plastic steel cases you find all over the web.  The cases are also a bit more expensive due to the materials used and man hours required to ensure a good product.

This year at Computex Lian Li was showing off a few new designs including two revised desk designs that addressed a few concerns users had with the original.  The new desks come with adjustable legs and sport a lower profile so that folks can actually use them as a desk.

The tops are still tempered glass, feature a plethora of hard drive storage options and now generally only support a single graphics card due to it laying parallel to the motherboard instead of vertical.

The next case that caught my eye is the PC-05SX.  This is an open air chassis design with hooks allowing you to either hang the case on the wall or stand it vertically using the included stand.

Of course the chassis is all aluminum and featured a shaded glass panel allowing you to show off the components inside.  The case comes in three different sizes and all feature similar styling and features.
