Valve Is Reportedly Working On A Steam Update That Lets You Hide Your Sex Games
Ok, so I can imagine how this feature went down.
- Valve: We have starting to catalog quite a number of "adult" games but, nobody is buying them? Lets ask some of our customers.
- Customer: Oh I would totally buy ALL the adult games you have but, I'm not a fan of how Steam will let everyone know that I'm playing a pervy game title and logged over 300 hours. You know, how Steam is,
- Valve: That broadcast is to promote people to buy the game and allows your friends to watch you play. It is an awesome feature!
- Customer: ....
- Valve: So, you are saying we need to start respecting that some people want to be private?
- Customer: That would be nice
And guess what?!?
According to Djundik's post, once a user marks a game as private, it will be hidden from their friends, thus permitting them to play Koikatsu Party to their heart's content and far away from prying eyes. That said, this feature isn't limited to games with, ahem, adult themes. For those ashamed of just how much time they poured into Dota 2 or Baldur's Gate 3, hiding your hours spent playing will soon be a few clicks away.
This rumored update is a drastic improvement to Steam's current privacy options, which essentially boil down to setting your profile to public, friends only, or private. Djundik also stated that Valve is working on new parental controls as well. These additions will reportedly allow users to set playtime restrictions for children, as well as prevent children from purchasing something without requesting permission first.

DFI Wins the Corporate Sustainability Report Awards Gold Award, Green Design Improves Product Energy Reduction by Nearly 40%
TAIPEI, Nov. 28, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- As renewable energy and new energy development become a global issue, DFI, the world leading brand in embedded motherboards and industrial computers, was awarded the "2023 16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award (TCSA)" - "Corporate Sustainability Report Awards - Gold Award for Electronics and IT Manufacturing Industry". In addition to following the related standards and regulations, DFI has introduced green design guidelines/directions, improving product energy reduction by nearly 40% and over 90% of system products now use easy-to-recycle materials.
The "2023 16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award" organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy had a record number of 526 participating companies, marking a 24% increase compared to the previous year. This not only underscores the significance of ESG for major corporations but also highlights the difficulty of winning these awards.
Furthermore, this is the second award that DFI, which won the "Corporate Sustainability Report Awards - Gold Award for Electronics and IT Manufacturing Industry", has won, moving up from the Bronze Award to the Gold Award. This achievement is attributed not only to the establishment of clear sustainability objectives and adherence to international standards and regulations such as SASB, TCFD, and GRI but also to the development of four major green design standards for its products.
The green design standards include "Reduction", which avoids the redevelopment of standard boards. The number of new standard products was reduced by 12%; "Hazardous Substance Management", which ensures the parts must comply with the EU RoHS directive and REACH regulations; "Energy Conservation", which has achieved an energy reduction of 38.7% for motherboards, reducing power consumption and carbon emissions; and "Product Disposal/Recycling", which has resulted in over 90% of system products using easy-to-recycle materials and the smelting of steel and aluminum for reuse. DFI is reducing the potential negative impacts of products and components during every stage to develop the sustainable value of its products.
DFI President Alexander Su stated, "Our sustainability goals are clear. In addition to advocating for RE100 with the group, we are strengthening sustainable governance. In this year's Sustainability Report, we adopted international standards and guidelines, set short, medium, and long term sustainability goals, and linked the usage settings of our main products with the actions plans for the 17 UN SDGs to achieve diversified sustainability."

Built with Unobstructed View
The O11 VISION is the first case to offer a completely unobstructed view of the system with its top, front, and left-side tempered glass panels. The support structure along the glass edges has been eliminated. For structural support, the glass panels meet at the top left corner, held in place by a mounting key that aligns with magnets that provide up to 35kg of support force. The mounting key is discreetly concealed behind a triangular silk screen, with the white version featuring an elegant gradient white and grey, elegantly blending with the case.
2 Configurations
The O11 VISION offers a removable motherboard tray for ease of installation, which can be adjusted in two different positions. In low mode, the O11 VISION supports up to 2 x 120mm fans / 240 radiator at the rear. In high mode, the case supports up to 3 x 120mm/140mm fans and up to 360 radiator at the bottom removable bracket, with maximum thickness of 95mm, ample space for push-pull setup. Additionally, the O11 Vision supports 3 x 120mm fans / 360 radiator or 2 x 140mm fans / 280 radiator beside the motherboard. For optimal bottom air intake, the base is elevated to 27mm, and with fans mounted on the bottom fan bracket, the height of the bottom fans can be raised to 40mm in total.Cable Management Focused
In the second chamber, the cable management bar is held in place by magnets. The PSU mounting bracket also protrudes from the rear of the case by 15mm to provide more clearance in the second chamber for excess cables. Additionally, the 2 drive cages located above the PSU can be removed individually if not used, freeing up more space in the second chamber, or providing another location for mounting a fan hub/controller. Lastly, the O11 VISION comes equipped with two dual-layer cable clips that can be mounted anywhere along vertical grommets pass through.
High-end Build Ready
The O11 VISION offers support for large components, including compatibility with up to E-ATX motherboards, 455mm long GPUs, and CPU cooling towers as tall as 167mm. It can accommodate a total of 5 x 2.5” SSDs or 2 x 3.5” HDDs, along with 3 x 2.5” SSDs. With such support and its unique hardware display capabilities, the possibilities are endless.Availability

Biostar Silver Series Motherboards for Intel Core i7 14700K
We recently launched Episode 153 of the Hardware Asylum Podcast and in it we talk about how stupid motherboard designs have become due to the absence of expansion card availability. Despite this motherboard makers are still selling full sized motherboards which is not only wasteful but has been fully enabled by consumers.

This motherboard release offers up four new designs built on the B760 chipset. This chipset is not intended for performance applications but is a down market alternative with the intention that users will also use a down market processor such as the Core i7 14700k.
