    Case Interior

Silverstone claims that while the internal volume of the RV04 is smaller than the RV02 it can accommodate more drives and still deliver the same level of cooling performance with one less 180mm fan.  As you can see the internal structure the front fans dump directly into the chassis and are channeled across the motherboard tray.  At the top of the case you’ll see that the power supply and drive area is completely walled off.  This gives you a cleaner look inside the case and also keeps cool air where it should be.

Cables are all routed thru the back of the case and will exit out of the various ports.  Video cards will be the long vertical holes while USB and front panel controls will use the smaller ones towards the top.  CPU power and heatsink access are the larger openings at the bottom.

The top of the case is actually more open than you would imagine.  As you can see from this photo the walls you can see from the side act as reinforcement while from the top down it is completely open allowing you considerable options when putting your build together.

As always the case construction is extremely good and all of the edges have been rolled over to prevent cuts and scrapes.  There are several holes thru the motherboard tray and all of them have been treated so that cables and fingers don’t get cut.

You will notice that none of the cable holes have been covered with grommets.  Some builders really like this feature and we like them because they provide contrast to the case when you apply a custom paint job.  However, beyond that they appear to be mostly cosmetic along with an alternative to actually rounding over the metal.
