    Product Layout and Features

The Hybrid 1050W measures in at a trim 5.9" x 7" x 3.4" (150 x 180 x 86 mm) making it more accessible than some of the monsters we have seen here in the lab.  This means little to no space issues even in smaller cases or HTPC builds looking for a more versatile silent solution.
The modular panel is organized and color coded to help with quick identification.  As you can see each of the cable slots is uniquely shaped to take only the correct cables with only the break out box unlabeled.  The use of the grey to mark the PCI-E leads is a nice touch that I wish would have been carried out into the rest of the ports.  Although a color match with the cables is easy, it is much harder to see the back HDD/SATA ports once things are installed.  Nitpicking aside, everything clicks together solidly and alleviates the fear of partial connections where it counts.

A 135mm Silent hydraulic fan hides behind the honeycomb venting on top.  The polished Aluminum cover is not removable but an occasional blast of cleaning air should be sufficient thanks to a similar venting on the back.
Cooler Master has stepped outside of the box by offering a single +7V rail for the two fan ports allowing direct control of two case fans by the Hybrid 1050W or through the control panel.  The standard rails are certified 80Plus Gold.  According to the spec, it certifies products that have more than 80% energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load and a power factor of 0.9 or greater at 100% load.

The power label shows that the Hybrid 1050W can provide up to 984W across the single +12V rail under max load, the remaining wattage is then distributed across the 3.3, 5 and 7v rails.

Included with the unit you will find a simple user's manual and a business card sized warranty card directing you to the website to activate your warranty.  Registration is definitely recommended as the Hybrid 1050W is offered with a limited 5 year warranty.
