    Conclusion

These days there isn't any single ultimate gaming machine and while there are systems out there that push gaming performance to the extreme you don't always need all that power.  In fact most midrange systems will do the job quite nicely either it be a full tower system or portable gaming notebook.  In this review we looked at the new Fangbook X7-200 from Cyberpower PC.  It is a very capable system designed to handle the rigors of gaming enthusiast.

Our review unit is based on the X7-200 which is considered the mid-range system offering despite having some extremely high-end gear like a Core i7 3630QM Ivy Bridge mobile processor, GTX 675XM mobile GPU and Killer Networks wired and wireless connectivity.  Storage consists of a dual drive system with a 60GB SSD handling the OS and additional 750GB SATA drive dedicated to programs and additional storage.  CyberpowerPC offers a RAID 0 option where the 60GB SSD is replaced by two mSATA drives for increased storage and speed.

Overall performance was exceptional lending itself well to 1080p gaming.  In addition to the two gaming benchmarks we did enjoy several hours of Borderlands 2 at full resolution with medium detail specs.  Our benchmarks show that the GTX 675MX is slightly underpowered to run Crysis 2 and the Ultra quality settings but with reduced details the game runs considerably better.

The Fangbook is equipped with a vivid 17.3" full 1080p anti-glare LED display and the panel delivers some amazing visuals.  Overall resolution was extremely sharp and both black and white colors rendered flawless.  We did notice some color variations in the blue spectrum indicating that the panel needed a color adjustment but was otherwise un-noticeable under normal conditions.

The Cyberpower PC Fangbook comes with a 64bit edition of Windows 8 pre-installed with all of the latest drivers and notebook software configured and ready to go.  Be sure to check out the Cyberpower PC website for full configuration options of the X7-200 Fangbook including starting price for the three available versions.  (X7-100, X7-200 and X7-300)
