The game Aliens vs Predator is based on a long line of games based on the same name which in turn was inspired by the movies and comic books in the series. AVP is a full DX11 game with some serious Tessellation that will test the limits of any modern GPU.

It is no wonder why AMD really likes to use this benchmark is their tests. The Gigabyte GTX 670 OC shows a slight gain over the older GTX 580 but loses out to the HD 7970. This is where having more CUDA cores would help.
