    Case Interior and Layout

Once the panels have been removed, we can get a better look inside the NCORE 100 Max.  One of the first things you will notice is the large 120mm exhaust fan located above the I/O location and behind the included power supply.

You will also notice that just about every surface panel can be removed to facilitate different system configurations and help in the installation process.

One of the panels you will need to remove is a corner support that covers the main cable chase.  This location serves as the primary access for cables running down to the front panel connectors, any SATA cables you may install and the hoses for the AIO which run up past the power supply to the radiator located at the top of the chassis.

Despite the tight clearances there are a number of tiedown locations.  Whenever possible I generally try to reuse the twist ties that are provided from the factory.  Most of the time these are a good quality and save me from using my stash of plastic zip ties.  Of course, your mileage will vary but, the included ties are quite good.

You may have noticed that the NCORE 100 is divided down the middle into two chambers.  The motherboard side of the case is rather self-explanatory however, the GPU side of the case is where things get interesting.

From the graphics card side, you’ll notice that it is exceptionally clean, no extra wires and only a single 16x PCI Express slot extension.  A good portion of the exhaust fan is exposed to the chamber along with several openings.  The first is at the left of the exhaust fan and feeds air into the AIO radiator.

The next is to the right of the fan and this one is interesting.  On Founders Edition cards the air from the GPU fan exhausts out the top, out the side and… Out the bottom.  This vent is to allow the bottom exhaust to exit the chassis and will basically do nothing for folks using cards with custom coolers.

The final hole is located to the far right near the expansion slot covers and serves as a primary air intake for the entire system, with secondary air entering through the perforated side panels.
