    Conclusion

When searching for a new video card enthusiasts are often presented with a wide variety of things to contend with from overall performance and price to which cooling method matches my style of gaming and overclocking.  If you look at all of the GTX 750Ti products you have two basic choices.  You can either go with a reference designed card as released by NVidia or select one of the hot-clocked editions like the Gigabyte GV-N75TOC-2GI.  Of course the second of these promises higher performance with a great price point for gamers.

In doing this review we also discovered that Gigabyte has a super clocked version of the GTX 750 Ti called the GV-N75TWF2OC-2GI.  This card feature a core clock of 1215Mhz and boost clock of 1294Mhz.  While these stock clocks are less than our overclocked numbers it shows that the new Maxwell architecture seems to overclock quite well or that yeilds on these early chips are better than expected.

The factory overclock is a nice perk and we would strongly suggest that if you happen to be in the market for a GTX 750 Ti that you get the overclocked edition.  As we have shown the card scales quite well and doesn't produce a lot of excess heat.  In fact, the custom Windforce cooler only has a single heatpipe so it may run passive provided you have good case ventilation.

There are a few downsides to the GTX 750 Ti and really not a fault of Gigabyte but rather the GPU itself.  The card doesn't support SLI and as our benchmarks show the GTX 650 Ti Boost is slightly faster.  Overall when it comes to gaming if you dial down the settings and have a nice 1080p monitor the GTX 750 Ti will work wonders, especially when matched up with a nice Core i3 or Core i5 processor.
