HyperX Cloud Revolver Pro Gaming Headset Review

HyperX has done a great job with the Cloud Revolver Pro Gaming headset.  The larger size of the design means they should fit a larger head with no loss of comfort.  And comfortable they are thanks to the soft tension strap and the deep memory foam on the ear cups.  They look sharp too with no gaudy lights to distract from a classy black and red combination.  It is also a nice bonus to see support for everything from your PC to your consoles and everything mobile right out of the box.

Sound quality proved to be the best I have had in a stereo headset with a crisp clear sound stage and more bass than I would have expected.  I know some gamers prefer the versatility of a good stereo headset and the Cloud Revolver headset delivers.  If you need surround sound you will need to trick yourself with 3rd party software or look to HyperX’s Cloud II. 

The microphone was solid for my TeamSpeak needs but I found the filtering could be improved as listeners could pick out background sounds when I spoke.  Some I could not hear myself.

Overall HyperX impresses with an attractive look and best in class stereo sound.  If you need a good stereo headset you should definitely check out the HyperX Cloud Revolver.
