    Case Interior

With the side panels removed the interior may look strangely familiar.  The overall layout is almost identical to the SB 800’s Minus the second drive cage.  The interior is finished in matching black with orange accents provided by the cable run grommets and drive mounts.  All of the cables are sensibly sleeved in black with plenty of room for cable management using the provided cable ties.

One major difference between the two be quiet! cases is the choice of a single drive bay in the Base 600.  This configuration opens up the case more and allows for a video card up to 413mm (~16.25 inches) long.  With a cage in the upper location you are limited to 294mm (~11.5 inches).  More on that in a minute.

Here is a closer look at the rear 120mm Pure Wings 2 fan and the top air channels.   The top will actually support a radiator up to 240mm.  The smaller Base 600 makes the top locations a bit of a tight fit if you are using a larger heat sink or a large radiator setup.

With the drive bay removed you can see there is pretty good venting for the font mounted 140mm Pure Wings 2 fan and a second optional 140mm fan.  Both of these fans pull air through the front vents.

Be quiet! has designed the drive cage to fit in three different locations.  The default front bottom location, just below the upper drive cage if a video card Is not a concern and mounted inside the top drive cage.  This top mount replaces any optical drives but it does open up the case making for some interesting build options. Drives are mounted in color matched rubber anti-vibration rails.

No drive cage would be my choice as the Base 600 has two SSD mounts directly behind the motherboard.  Both are mounted in removable mounts via thumb screws.  These are positioned directly behind the side panel vent giving it some purpose but fighting for space if a fan is desired here.
