KLEVV CRAS C925G 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD Review @ Funky Kit

FunkyKit presented the CRAS C925G as a refreshed version of KLEVV’s CRAS lineup, now built for the NVMe 2.0 standard. The 2TB model targets high throughput, reaching up to 7,400 MB/s sequential read and 6,500 MB/s write speeds. It uses a graphene-copper composite heatsink to reduce operating temperatures and is designed as a single-sided drive for better compatibility with slim form factor devices, including laptops and consoles. FunkyKit praised the solid build, modern cooling, and good endurance, and found the price reasonable for the performance offered.

 …  The KLEVV C925G is a perfect choice for less-demanding users who still wish for a fast, but more importantly, a stable and problem-free SSD for daily tasks. It doesn't perform as well as the other top SSD series, but catches up with low operating temperatures, high compatibility, reasonable price, and high endurance. 

However, the review also noted that the drive is not the fastest in all scenarios, especially in random I/O workloads, which could be stronger for a drive at this level. But the lower thermals, inclusion of the heatsink, and improved power management help it stand out among DRAM-less Gen4 SSDs. Overall, FunkyKit rated it positively and considered it a compelling option for users who want high speed and reliability in a compact form factor without paying a hefty premium.
