    Introduction

The Consumer Electronics Show is a great event for anyone interested in technology and it doesn't matter if you are interested in existing tech or want to see the future, you can find it at CES.  Of course locating exactly what you are after does take some work and to put the 2012 show in perspective here is a quote from the CES organizers.

The 2012 International CES was the largest in the event's 44 year history, with a record number of more than 3,100 exhibitors across the largest show floor in CES history – 1.861 million net square feet of exhibit space – and drawing a record of more than 153,000 attendees, including more than 34,000 international attendees. More than 20,000 new products were launched at the 2012 CES.

Enthusiast gaming and overclocking hardware isn't a core focus of Consumer Electronics Show and while Asus and other motherboard makers have been known to have a booth their trend has been changing from broad advertising to more targeted and personal displays to select customers in the area hotel suites.

Looking back at past CES events I have attended you will know that has always been a sore spot for me and often resulted in missed opportunities and a few bad words said in public.
CES 2012 was largely successful for myself, I got to see some really great technology.  By far one of the most impressive displays was nVidia's Tegra 3 processor and their success in getting this mobile processor into the automotive industry.  The Tesla Model S they had on display had two Tegra 3 processors in it, one for the main computer and the other to control various multimedia functions.  Some other hot items included immersive gaming chairs and the many advances in car audio.

The car pictured above is a solar powered racecar that I remember reading about back in grade school.  It has been upgraded since then but for the most part looks almost identical.

Below you will find a photo gallery of the things I saw at CES, as you can imagine I took quite a few photos this trip and this isn't an exhaustive list by any means.  Please enjoy and if you have any questions drop by the forum and let me know.
