Gigabyte and Aorus had a very special display for the Consumer Electronics Show that was a massive extension to what we saw during the Z790 Gen X product launch we attended this summer. The major difference was the addition and expansion of white components from Ryzen based motherboards, power supplies, fans, AIO coolers, cases and video cards.
Of course, you can still get items in black but, Gigabyte is going all in on white as being the new most best color of the 2024 product season.
While the Aorus division of Gigabyte had a cozy ballroom booth in the Venetian Convention center Gigabyte Enterprise was slinging in out on the main show floor in the Las Vegas Convention center and I was amazed at the server machines they had on display including the Gigabyte S183-SH0.
This is a full 1U (1 Unit) server designed for storage. Across the front you will find 32 bays of hot-swappable M.2 NVME drives followed by dual Intel LGA 4677 processors and an 8-channel 32 slot DDR5 RDIMM memory array. Not only have I never seen a hot-swappable NVMe drive but, never have I seen 32 of them stacked into a 1U server.
