We are taking a break from our normal game talk to bring you a special podcast about a widely popular and yet often misunderstood game, Minecraft.

Amazingly enough according to minecraft.net claims that 21,342,272 people have purchased the game with about 6,000 new purchases each 24 hours.  Of course those numbers are based on when this podcast was recorded but still that is really impressive.  Most game developers only publish initial launch day sales because they are easy to track and after a few weeks the new game falls from popularity and dies off.  The exception would be if the game has “endgame” allowing you to continue playing.   Minecraft takes this concept and sets it in the forefront allowing people to continue playing long after they have completed the game or play just for the heck of it.

In this episode Dennis and Darren talk about their experiences with Minecraft.  Dennis goes into the game mechanics of the game staring with what it is and how you do things.  Darren has taken a more backseat approach to Minecraft but has some experience setting up mods which can simply change the appearance or turn Minecraft into something else.
