Fractal Meshify 3 XL Case Review
Author: Dennis Garcia
Introduction
Fractal Design is one of the few case makers that design and build cases for fulfill a purpose. Obviously the purpose of a computer case is to hold computer components but, there are thousands of cases out there that don’t even do that very well and this is where Fractal Design is different. Were one person may see a simple computer case, once you start to dive deeper into the design you’ll find that considerable effort was made to ensure that certain goals and feature have been met.
A good example of this would be the Fractal Design Torrent High Airflow case. This is one of my favorite Fractal Design computer cases and its sole purpose was to get the approval of a rather popular YouTube channel, and it worked. There is also the Fractal Design North XL that really pushed the boundaries of “clean” chassis design turning a normal case into a product that is well refined and fits into the décor of the modern home. Of course, we cannot forget the Meshify 2 that was extremely popular with certain hardware enthusiasts, so much that Fractal Design released a compact one that takes a no nonsense approach to offering a practical tower case that doesn’t take up your entire floor.

In this review we will be looking at the Meshify 3 XL. This is a case I was introduced to during CES 2025 and looked to be a nice upgrade to the Mehsify case series. It features the same embossed front grill and high airflow design but offers many new features that many people take for granted.

The Meshify 3 XL also introduces a few new products which we will be able to see later in this review.
Momentum is a high-performance fan series that fuses premium materials with performance engineering to minimize noise while maximizing cooling efficiency. It combines a swept blade design, vibration-reducing rubber bushings, and true fluid dynamic bearing technology to ensure quieter operation. To further improve efficiency, Momentum features blades constructed from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP), reducing the required distance between the rotor and frame for smooth operation at high rotational speeds.
Ambience Pro RGB versions of Meshify 3 and Meshify 3 XL include a pre-routed Adjust Pro Hub, a device that enables control of components through Adjust Pro — our new online configuration tool.
Adjust Pro is a download-free, web-based software solution accessed by visiting the Adjust Pro web address in a chromium-based desktop web browser. It allows users to customize the lighting of their ARGB Gen 2 components, such as the included Momentum RGB fans and ambient case lighting, as well as set speed curves for Momentum and other PWM fans, without needing to download or run processor-consuming software. Users can choose between curated Fractal lighting themes featuring ARGB Gen 2 animations or decide to create their own look, with lighting and fan speed settings stored locally on the Hub.
