    Case Interior and Cooling

At the bottom of the case you will find an internal 3.5” hard drive rack supporting a total of three drives on plastic trays.  The average consumer may install a drive once or twice in a lifetime while system integrators perform that task 100’s of times a day.  To make the process faster the trays will flex open allowing tool free installation.

Above the drive rack you’ll find two drive panels for installing 2.5” SSD.  Next to that is a fan hub supporting up to 10 fans from a single power source.  The RL06 supports up to six fan positions to the exterior of the case.  Considering “push/pull” fan configurations there is a good chance all 10 fan positions could get used.

Cooling the RL06 is handled by four 120mm fans located at the front and back of the case.  On PRO and GP versions the front mounted fans are LED lighted and feature a single color.

Additional fans can be installed at the top of the case and while the RL06 does come with 120mm fans from the factory you can swap them out for 140mm versions.

I know how much everyone loves the LED light shots so here is the SilverStone RL06 showing off the front mounted red LED fans.

Cooling the RL06 is really quite impressive.  At the front of the case you have three 120mm fans breathing though a ultra fine mesh dust filter and beyond that another fine mesh bezel grill for protection.  The mesh is open enough for you to make out fine details of the fans and offers very little to no resistance.

At the back of the case you have the standard SilverStone vented expansion bay covers along with some open mesh to provide very little air resistance ensuring the highest amount of airflow.

Needless to say this case has the best opportunity to breathe well and not suffer from excess fan noise in the process.
