    Conclusion

While always improving and building from its predecessors, the RK series has always been about continually delivering a solid performing mechanical keyboard at an affordable price point.  While this does mean that the RK series sacrifices some of the latest gadgets, it doesn’t cut on quality and delivers a great keyboard for the price.  Just plug it in, light it up, and game.

While the feel of the keys is subjective based on the type of switch used, the Helios feels solid and the lighting is very nicely done.  The MX Black version I tested caters nicely to my play-style and provides a quick, snappy response without the need for a full keystroke.

The Helios 9200 is a definite sleeper keyboard that would look professional in any home office or studio.  From the matte soft finished texture of the frame and keys, to the flowing font of the Rosewill logo above the key-lock LED’s it has a very subtle and elegant look.  This innocent guise however, is just a façade to hide the sinister monster it truly is.   When it shows its true colors, fully illuminated and armed with the responsiveness of Cherry’s best switches, it demonstrates that it’s something far more formidable.
