    Conclusion

As overclockers we are often looking at the highest capacity PSUs for our builds and often forget that adequate power comes in many different forms and depending on the system configuration a 1500w monster would just be a waste of money.  The Power Zone 850w sits right in the enthusiast “sweet spot” of power delivery.  It has plenty of power to drive a high-end gaming rig while support two mid-range graphic cards or one monster card like the GTX 780Ti Classified or 290X Lightning.

The bequiet Power Zone is available in four power models starting at 650w and ending at a respectable 1000w.  These are 80plus Bronze rated PSUs which makes them rather affordable and ideal for performance PCs including gaming and overclocking rigs.  Part of the power behind the Power Zone is the large single 12v rail power design backed by fully modular cables and adaptive cooling system.  The large 135mm SilentWings cooling fan ensures silent operation and reinforces the bequiet! brand..

Overall we enjoyed the Power Zone 850w, the fully modular design is a nice change from the norm and the dedicated fan cables do a lot to free up the motherboard fan headers.  Keep in mind that you won't get any RPM control with these connections but when combined with properly configured cooling solution you shouldn't need it.  We would have liked to see locking tabs on the 20+4 ATX and 4+4 CPU power connectors since the +4 tends to be the exception with most modern systems.

    Bad Things

Paired cables implies that both will get used which is not always the case.
