    The Hardware

Hardware portability may be the primary differentiator over the GC1000’s competition but the small size may also be the reason behind the overall simplicity of the design. Let’s take a closer look at what comes in the box.

The bottom, or input side, of the GC1000 contains a HDMI port, a set of component video inputs (Y, Pb and Pr), an S-Video input port and a set of component audio in ports.  All of the component ports are color coded for installation ease. A matched set of outputs appear on the opposite side. A USB 2.0 port, doubling as the power source remains the only other port.

Four rubber feet provide a firm grip to sit on and lift the GC1000 off the shelf.

Diamond includes the following with the GC1000:  A Quick Start Guide, the installation CD, a component cable, a composite cable and a USB Cable.  The installation guide is also included on the CD.  There are no HDMI Cables included.  The installation CD also includes two software packages: DM Cap or Diamond Video Capture and Cyberlink Power Director Version 8.
