    Introduction

Arguably one of the most popular topics on the Ninjalane Podcast was our discussions around the Devil 13 graphics card from Powercolor.  Up until the release of that card the company was rather dormant in the US market and made a play for market share in a big way.  I wanted to make sure I met with them during CES 2014 and was not disappointed.

The two new products they had to show in the PC space were the Powercolor PCS+ R9 290/290x graphics cards and the Powercolor Devil R9 270x Devil.

R9 290x is not a new card but Powercolor has created a special edition of this card with a triple slot triple fan cooler.  This card should also be available in a watercooled version using a block from EK.

The highlight for us was the Devil R9 270x.  The GPU might not be all that special but the Devil treatment and limited availability should make it really popular with midrange system builders looking for something unique.

Both cards come with custom backplates and actually look quite good when installed in a proper gaming rig.
