    Testing Lab

As hardware enthusiasts we strive to complete our "collection".  Sometimes that collection leads to a closet full of old hardware while for others that is simply the perfect combo of components to build a monster machine.  EVGA enthusiasts tend to exploit the second of these as can be seen within the EVGA community.

For K|ngp|n and Tin the collection starts with "golden" versions of everything they use.  This is what is required to set records and, to a lesser degree, required to do their job.   Here we have Vince's desk, notice the 1 liter bottle of Pepsi.  I'll have to find out where he bought it for next time.
On another table there is a rack of Corsair Dominator memory.

Most overclockers use a pair of electric "jet engines" to keep video cards cool while overclocking.  As it would turn out the CEO has sensitive ears and would come by the lab just to make sure running those fans was absolutely necessary.

Below is VInce holding is fans, not to be outdone by the relaxed Taiwan safety rules only one fan has a metal grill.
Of course LN2 is a must for extreme overclocking and depending on what they are testing these tanks are swapped out ever couple of weeks to couple of days.  To put the usage in perspective if you are benching the EVGA SR2 using dual processors, North bridge block and 4-way SLI one of these 180L tanks will last about 2 hours.
Speaking of SR2 here is one all prepped and ready to be used.  It is too bad that they are no longer available, but that is progress for you.
