Talking about PC games during the holiday season is not an easy task and very time sensitive.  As of our recording Battlefront was on deck and highly anticipated however, as the launch approached there was some reddit drama with some downvoted comments from EA followed by a large exodus of users canceling their pre-order.

As the story goes EA said there would be no paid DLC and is something that Darren brought up in this episode.  At the time we didn’t think much of it and actually figured paying more for a game and not have to dish out more for DLC was a welcome change.  It would seem “paid DLC” depends on how you look at it because they are now making you pay to unlock certain playable characters.   Or at least play the game enough to unlock them naturally.  Either way, seems like a bait and switch to me.

We talk about two lists in this episode; the first is from GamesRadar with a typical click-bait style list of games people are talking about.  Then later we discuss another list showing game pre-orders which proves that Call of Duty really does have a license to print money despite them re-releasing the same game over and over again.

It does look pretty though, so we have that to look forward to, which is nice.
