Ducky Cushion 98 Tri-Mode Mechanical Keyboard Review

With most manufacturers chasing flashy RGB effects, tiny OLED displays, or software ecosystems bloated with unnecessary features, Ducky has consistently focused on build quality, typing feel, and dependability. The Ducky Cushion 98 Wireless represents a significant change to that formula.

We first saw the Cushion 98 at Computex 2026 and wondered if their new Nest Mounted design was just another design trick. Today we get our hands on two of the designs. Let’s take a look!

The Cushion 98 is offered in both the silver color scheme seen here and a darker grey model (shown below).  Both use a surface mount style surrounded by a durable aluminum frame that really emphasizes the RGB backlighting well. There are no oversized logos or distracting design elements competing for attention. Simple branding on the back provides a classy way to identify the model.
