    GSKill TridentX Memory Overview

TridentX modules feature a very unique heatspreader design that feels considerably stronger than the familiar RipjawsX thanks in part to the thickness of the heatspreader and overall height of the module.
Across the top you will find a distinctive heatsink design that, in profile, looks much like a classical trident with 3 points radiating from the center.  From the side the heatsink features a few angled cuts that help to provide depth to the design and reinforce the "X" logo in negative space.

One of the common complaints associated with enthusiast memory modules is the overall height of the module as that can really limit your heatsink choices.  The GSKill TridentX features a removable heatsink design that reduces the module height by a half an inch giving you considerably more options when it comes to heatsink selection.
In terms of overall height the module measures in at two inches tall placing it in the realm of the Corsair Dominator but with the heatsink removed is only slightly taller than a standard module like the Kingston HyperX.

The choice to remove the heatsink will depend on your system configuration and cooling needs.
