Noctua Unveils AIO and Thermosiphon Coolers at Computex 2026
Author: Dennis GarciaIntroduction
Noctua is a company known for having some of the most efficient heatsinks on the market backed by some of the most advanced PC cooling fans available today. Of course, the question on everyone’s mind is when will Noctua make the jump to liquid cooling?. Based on what is being shown during Computex 2026 the answer is, Soon!
At the show Noctua was showing the NL-LC1 AIO water cooler. This is a very unique product in that they are using a standard asetek pump and then modifying the package to meet their acoustical needs. While most of us feel AIOs are already extremely silent Noctua has taken things to the next level by including sound damping material and rubber mount panels to isolate any vibration from the pumpblock and silence noise from the pump itself.
The NL-LC1 will be available in all of the popular sizes and even has an option for a top mounted VRM cooling fan. This fan will help circulate air around the VRM and NVMe heatsinks to not only keep them cool but promote lower internal case temperatures.
Noctua also had their Thermosiphon project on display which is a phase based cooler that can operate without any moving parts. This cooler design is very dependent on cooler placement and orientation and still has a fair amount of development left before it can be released. The side by side demo is seeing near identical load temps between the Thermosiphon and NL-LC1 coolers when used on identical Ryzen 9 systems and the same radiator configuration and profile.
New developments include a new evaporator plate to promote uniform cooling along with a surface generator process to create the structured needed for the best performance.
The final product is an extremely compact SFF heatsink for the AMD platform. Due to how tightly AMD has specified the keep our region of the AM5 socket the new prototype cooler can be effectively molded to fit and maximize radiator surface area while also keeping the heatsink extremely short. This cooler is still in development and should be a game changer when it come to building a high performance small form factor build.
