    Case Layout and Features

The first thing I noticed about the Scout 2 was how comfortable the handle is.  Lifting the 18.3 pound case is easy enough I was surprised to see how much the case really weighs.  In comparison to the larger Storm Trooper and its 31.7 pounds total weight there is a night and day difference.
Gone are the subtle red accents we have become accustomed to across the CM Storm line.  Instead the Scout 2 is all black with just a touch of silver on the front mesh.  The effect is more serious bringing to mind the badges on many cars.

The full mesh front surface hides mountings for the two optional 120mm fans or single 140mm fan.  Matching mesh covers are provided for the three external 5.25" drive bays.  This design not only allows a lot of air flow, it looks pretty good too!

On the right side the matching embossing pushes out enough to provide additional clearance behind the motherboard and provides a nice balance to the design.

The left side door features a smaller window above two optional 120mm fan mounts.  The window is tinted slightly for a smoked appearance.  On the previous Scout design, Cooler Master used a 40% automotive tinting and this is probably the same setup.  This positioning of the fans will be below the top video card slot on most installations and only the back fan slot will need to be a concern with oversize power supplies.

Included are the usual assortment of screws and mounting hardware, about a dozen wire ties, a pc speaker, and a handy tool for mounting the motherboard offsets.  The included fan mounting hardware will support two more fans and is probably intended for the door mountings only.
