    System and Installation

The NZXT Phantom is a fairly large chassis and is able to handle large E-ATX motherboards down to the smallest Mini ITX.  You will find plenty of locations to route cables including four channels to the right of the motherboard and two large openings below the motherboard tray near the power supply.
To give you a sense of scale we have installed a standard sized P67 motherboard and tower cooler.  As the photos show you are given plenty of room for cable routing and spillage if the motherboard happens to be a little wider than what we have here.
As we mentioned the heatsink does fit in this chassis but does get rather close to the top mounted fans.  The clearance here would allow for watercooling radiators but given the 200mm fan placements and spacing it is not specifically designed for that purpose.
We mentioned that the NZXT Phantom supports a total of six fans and in a normal chassis that can lead to excess noise without the aid of a fan controller.  NZXT has you covered in this instance and has integrated a fan controller into the top of this case with five variable speed channels controlling the different cooling zones found in this chassis.
