    System Mockup

In an attempt to provide a bit of scale we installed a TRX40 Aorus Master Gaming Motherboard.  This is a Threadripper motherboard in what Gigabyte called E-ATX.  The size difference between E-ATX and CEB is minimal and there are far more motherboards called E-ATX than admit are CEB.  It just sounds better and is more easily understood.

This is also one of the largest motherboards I have in the Hardware Asylum collection making it a perfect test subject.  As the photos show the motherboard fits nicely but does extend over the cable grommets due to the extra width.

To the right of the motherboard is the “back” radiator mount and also a second set of cable holes that may or may not be accessible depending on your build plan.

At the top of the case there is a designed offset allowing fans and radiators to pass in front of the motherboard provided that the VRM heatsink is within the allowed spec.

It is also interesting to see that the mounting holes for the GPU reinforcement bracket is directly in line with the SATA ports and given that most motherboards have the SATA connections in the same location you will have trouble routing these cables regardless if you use the bracket or not.

The included brackets are rather simple.  The set of two is designed for mounting the PSU on end so that the fan is facing outwards.  This can only be done if you are using a Micro ATX or Mini ITX motherboard and will require removing the existing PSU cover.

For longer GPUs they have included an adjustable bracket to give a little extra edge support.  Or, you can choose to go vertical and will have to acquire the PCI Express cable separately.
