be quiet! Dark Mount Keyboard Review

Dark Mount Media Dock and Numpad
Of course, the most interesting thing about the be quiet! Dark Mount design is the ability to configure the accessories.

The Media Dock features a nice roller for volume next to a block of multimedia style keys. The most striking feature is the dedicated 320 x 240 resolution screen that can be customized with user-defined images and functionality. See software below.
The connection feels pretty solid thanks to the additional supports. Unfortunately, you cannot repurpose the remaining USB-C port where the multimedia dock is not connected as a separate USB port or passthrough.
I found placing the media dock on the right the most intuitive allowing me to keep my right hand on the mouse. The buttons are responsive to the touch and the texture around the “enter” button makes touch control possible.

The Numpad extension is probably the most intriguing feature making it possible to mimic a traditional 101 keyboard layout, a reverse 101, and even a good Tenkeyless design. The addition of a smaller, matching wrist rest is a welcome touch I would not have expected.
Connectivity options are hidden behind magnetic covers located on each side of the keyboard and on each side of the Numpad module. These little covers, like the magnetic feet, look great but are the kind of thing I love to lose! There is a slider on the back that allows you to slide the docking connector out or store it in a neutral position when not in use.
A set of eight dedicated 140 x 140 mm display keys across the top come preloaded with hot key functions built in. Each has an orange icon matching the be quiet! color scheme to help identify the functionality. The buttons look fantastic!
