    Light Mount Software and Conclusion

For this review I installed the latest version of the be quiet! IO Center. Version 1.0.6. The software looks great and even includes a nice tutorial. We also updated to the latest firmware. Version 1.5.0.

Sections are divided up between three major sections: Illumination, Key Bindings and Product Settings

Illumination provides ARGB support with six presets. You can also layer colors for custom setups. I found the under key lighting to be dimmer than expected but that might just be the tradeoff for the silent nature of the keys.

Key Binding lets you do mapping at the individual key level. You can add a secondary function to each key by programming the FN + Key combination. You can also program Macros with a simple but intuitive interface that will even look at your mouse.

Product settings give you the ability to disable key combinations individually or enable Game Mode (via Fn + Pause) to disable then all at once on the fly. Nice.

    Testing

The arrival of our Light Mount keyboard nicely overlapped the Battlefield 6 open Beta weekends. I put dozens of hours in and quickly lost the keyboard change completely. The near quiet sound signature makes it easy to forget you are even on a mechanical keyboard at all.

During the week, the Light mount was my daily driver dutifully putting in quiet hours of typing and surfing. I love the linear feel of the Orange switches and the keycaps feel like the best Chery MX has to offer.

    Conclusion

The be quiet! Light Mount Keyboard just looks and feels great.  The Addition of the ARGB bar across the top adds a nice extra dash of color without turning gaudy. For a first keyboard effort, be quiet! simply performs. And performs so silently you might just forget you are using a top shelf Mechanical keyboard.

Love the feel of a good mechanical keyboard but hate the clacky sounds? The be quiet! Silent Linear keyboard is the answer you have been searching for.
