    Multi GPU Index

A new feature we are adding to all of our motherboard reviews is what we call the Ninjalane Mulit GPU Index.  The Multi-GPU index is a portable set of data we can apply to determine the multi-gpu potential of any motherboard.  A higher index number indicates a favorable condition for multiple graphics cards while a lower number indicates a hindrance in one of our leading indicators.  Since the Index does not take into consideration system architecture it can be applied to motherboards regardless of processor or chipset generations.
    Multi-GPU Scorecard
    Index:  3.00
    Optimized: 2x
    Max Support: 2x
This motherboard will support up to 2 graphics cards and is optimized for dual card operation.  Given the minimal multi card support there is no need for any additional PCI Express power.

For best video performance you will want to populate the top most PCI Express slot with your video card but you also have the option of using the lower 16x slot and still have full bandwidth available.  Installing a second video card or PCI Express device will divide the 16x bandwidth with 8x being available at each slot.  Given the distance between the slots if you choose to enable Crossfire just be sure your bridge connector is long enough to reach.

While we do realize that the P67 chipset runs cooler than past Intel chipsets but you have to wonder if the small cooler found on the Rattler is actually large enough to keep the system cool especially considering that most of it will be covered by your video cards.
