Right out of the box, the DT 1770 feels sturdy weighing in at 377 g (~13.3 oz) with larger round earcups. The design is a beautiful, all-black, color scheme with silver lettering on the earcups. Branding is tasteful and color matched on the adjustable band.
The ear cups are mounted on sturdy metal brackets with some vertical swivel to help with fitment. The new TESLA.45-driver (30 ohms) is mimicked in the internal design.
Fitment is tight, but not unbearable. One nice feature is the new fontanelle recess in the top band designed to avoid the pain sensitive top of your head for longer sessions.
A nice hard case is included for safer storage and transport. This case holds the headphones and all included accessories comfortably.
Each set of DT 1770s comes with two different sets of ear pads. Installed by default are the velour ear pads. The velour pads are soft and comfortable even after long sessions gaming. For increased isolation you can switch to the leatherette ear pads. These offer more isolation but can feel hot after some time.
Also included are two cables. Both a straight cable (3m) and a coiled cable (5m) are included. Each are secured to the by a lockable 3-pin mini-XLR plug. You also get a 6.35 mm (1/4") stereo jack plug adapter.
