    Introduction

Recently Dennis decided it was time to replace our aging podcast setup with something new.  After some research we decided to try the popular Beyerdynamic DT 1770 Pro MKII Headphones. The MKII represent the latest studio headphones using the Tesla.45 drivers targeted at both studio use and content creators.

That sounds like a good fit. Let’s take a closer look!

Our DT 1770 Pro MKII Headphones uses a Circumaural (around the ear), closed back design. This closed back design provides a high level of sound isolation. If you prefer an open back design, the Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MKII would be your choice.

According to Beyerdynamic: The DT 1770 PRO MKII builds on the sound of its predecessor but with enhancements in key areas. The bass is more prominent, mids are clear and transparent, and highs are detailed. The high-frequency range has been fine-tuned for a more balanced sound across the entire spectrum.
