    Introduction

If you have listed to the Hardware Asylum Podcast we have talked several times about some of the “hidden” companies owned by Corsair and the team of their venue was to help bring all of the brands together.  From my perspective it is not 100% clear that Corsair owns the Drop or Elgato brands but, if you know where to look you can see the signs on their various websites.

To help reaffirm the inter-relationship the displays were setup to how the various products all work together under the same Corsair brand.

One of the new cases being shown is the Warthog, this case is a mod of the C70 Vengeance with a rugged style aesthetic and carry handles.  I was rather impressed with the switch block at the bottom of the case which was a call back to the military mods we used to do for lan parties back in the day.

    Frame 5000D Wood RS

One of the biggest challenges with modern chassis design is that they lack any reason do so modifications.  This has redefined the “case mod” from actually changing things on the case to more of a “build” where you simply match colors and make sure your cables are cleanly routed.  While the Frame 5000D Wood RS falls into that category there has been a push from Corsair to offer up mod parts to help you dress up your build and make if feel like you actually modified something.

For instance, there is a machined aluminum motherboard tray that you can swap in and help justify that rear glass panel you can also buy.

Another modification is the ability to house the Xeneon accessory panel in the side panel of the Frame 5000D with a solid or glass upper panel.  Most gamers will have this panel under their main monitor but, for those having their chassis on a desk the case side panel is prime real estate for something like the Xeneon.
