Dennis likes to remind people that there are two types of PC hardware enthusiasts.
We all know people from both groups and if you work with computer hardware long enough you will encounter broken hardware and will have to decide if a warranty repair is needed. Thing is, how do you determine what is broken??
In this episode Dennis goes over his process for diagnosing a non-functional PC. Everyone follows a different process but if you start with the easy things first it will make the subsequent steps much easier. That is unless you need to dismantle a DIY watercooling loop just to remove a sound card, that is a rather involved process with a very defined “point of no return”.
