    Case Interior and Cooling

I was surprised to see that the Antec Flux Pro Noctua Edition comes with zero fans pre-installed.  I suspect this is how Antec sells this case giving users the ability to build the system up however they like.

With the panels removed you can get a rather good look at how the Flux Pro supports chassis cooling.  At the front you have a rather deep mounting bracket to support a fan and radiator combo.  The chassis is also tall enough to support the same combo at the top of the chassis.

One feature that surprised me is how the front fan bracket has more than one mounting position.  This is done to provide optimal top radiator support in addition to using front mounted fans.  I have run into similar situations quite a few times where a front fan position prevented me from running a 360mm radiator up top.

Well, by relocating the bracket you can support up to a 420mm x 45mm thick radiator with 30mm thick fans by moving the bracket to the lowest position.  Of course, using smaller dual fan radiators or simple case fans will not require any relocation allowing the user to position their fans in the optimal location.

This wouldn’t be a Noctua Edition product if it didn’t include actual Noctua items.  In the box you will get a total of 4x 140mm G2 fans and two additional 120mm G2 fans to setup your initial build.  Given that the Flux Pro supports twelve or more fans in total you can decide if any additional cooling is needed.

To provide a sense of scale and color, I installed two 120mm G2 fans along with a single 140mm Chromax G2 fan.  In my opinion, the front panel needs to have 140mm fans installed exclusively but, that is my preferred rotational air mover selection.

Controlling the fans is done from a single fan hub that is magnetically secured to the chassis and comes complete with Nocuta fan tail extensions which have been pre-routed to the appropriate fan location.  I really like this touch as it shows that Noctua is dedicated to the quality of their first Noctua Edition chassis.
