be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX Case Review
Author: Dennis Garciabe quiet! Pure Base 500FX Case Review
A couple years ago we looked at the Pure Base 500DX, it was a great chassis that took a logical approach to cooling. Instead of routing air through a complex maze of pipes and tunnels they simply provided some venting holes and offered plenty of locations for cooling fans.
bequiet! is a company dedicated to keeping things silent and while the 500DX moves away from the typical design features found on a silent chassis design they didn’t ignore what really mattered, cooling.
In this review we will be looking at the Pure Base 500FX from bequiet!. While the previous designs walked the line between a silent and performance the 500FX opens things up by focusing on airflow, even more ARGB lighting and throwing in some popular "gamer" options.
- High airflow intake front panel and top cover for maximum performance
- Three Pure Wings 2 140mm fans guarantee high cooling performance and silent operation
- ARGB LED at the front and inside the case
- ARGB and PWM Hub
- Four Light Wings PWM Fans
- USB 3.1 Type C Gen. 2 for latest hardware
- Water cooling ready for radiators of up to 360mm
- Up to two SSDs can be installed prominently behind the window panel
- Generous space for high-end graphics cards and large coolers
- Side panel made of tempered glass
- Three-year manufacturer’s warranty
