Mad Catz M.M.O. 7+ Wireless Gaming Mouse Review

The overall design of the MMO7+ looks and feels less like a traditional mouse and more like a piece of sci-fi equipment, somewhere between a stealth fighter and a transformer. Mad Catz has a devoted following that refuse to use anything else.
To be successful as an MMO Mouse, raw performance numbers like DPS are not enough. You need to be able to manage a huge number of in-game actions without touching the keyboard. You also need the comfort of good ergonomics and intuitive controls for those marathon gaming sessions.
Fortunately, the MMO7+ does not disappoint. The onboard Optical PixArt 3395 rated DPS of up to 26,000 DPI frequently found in performance gaming mice targeted at FPS gamers. Four can be stored as presets. And no one does custom fitted ergonomics like Mad Catz.
Scattered across the MMO7+ design you will find there are 22-buttons with 21 completely programmable through the software. RGB lighting is limited to a set of four small icons on the top surface. No flashy billboard lighting here!
Power is provided via a USB -C connector on the front and charging for wireless use provides up to 40 hours via 2.4GHz. The included USB-A to USB-C cable is approximately 2 meters (about 6.5 feet) long sleeved in a braided matching black.
I would try to point out all the button locations but that might take a while!
Most people are drawn to the Mad Catz mice for their impressive customization options. Both the thumb and palm rest can be adjusted using the included tool.
The Thumb rest can be moved forward or back to accommodate your resting grip and to place that 5-in-1 thumb control right where it needs to be. The Angle of the thumb rest is also adjustable.
A set of swappable wrist rest parts provide you the ability to customize both the shape and feel of your grip. I prefer the textured grip myself. Swapping out parts is easy and can be adjusted on the fly.
All the customization options give the MO7+ make the mouse provide a tailored, almost “exosuit” sensation—once dialed in, it feels built around your hand rather than something you’re adapting to.
My only design complaint is the lack of an onboard storage solution for the included USB dongle. Every gram of weight matters here!
