MSI MEG Z890 Godlike Motherboard Review

We are all aware that every motherboard maker provides a software package to control their onboard ARGB lights, many of these software packages offer ways to make changes to the PWM fan curves and do some system monitoring.

The MSI Center Dashboard is a new package designed specifically for controlling the LCD screen allowing users to make changes to what is being shown on screen for system monitoring.  While these are the default settings you are also given a powerful interface for uploading custom graphics and videos.

I was able to upload a selection of images and even submitted a MP4 video.  When you upload video the software will ask you to select a start and end point and after a short bit of processing that section of the video will be looped on the LCD.

Of course, there is a section for setting ARGB lighting profiles which can also be linked to supported games or user customized if you happen to have a few hours to burn.

I was really impressed with the software, not only did it work extremely well but, it doesn’t occupy much in terms of memory space or CPU cycles.
