When new game titles hit the shelves there are a flurry of questions that follow and none more popular than “Can my PC play XYZ game?” As hardware enthusiasts we often roll our eyes, grumble a bit and set out to do the research. Thing is, while we find this question annoying there are some roots behind why it comes up.
The most common is someone who has an older computer and when they check the system specs for the game they don’t see their hardware listed and become concerned that they will be missing out.
The next major problem is aimed at our more “budget” minded folk who only bought the bare minimum a couple years back. While building a machine for the least amount of money can quickly get you up and running there is a constant struggle to stay above the line.
This episode is about system building and how looking at the minimum system specs can often lead you down the wrong road if you interpret the information incorrectly.
