    Testing and Conclusion

For testing the GSP 670 I ran though my normal list of FLAC music to get a baseline on frequency response and comparison against some of my other gaming headsets.  After that I brought it with me for a three day LAN party event that included a wide range of games and introduced the GSP 670 to an environment that contained both wireless electrical interference and unpredictable background noise.

Overall the comfort level is the best I have experienced and after three long days of gaming I was not fatigued and at one point didn't realize I was wearing them.  In terms of sound quality they are nearly on par with my wired HD6xx headset for gaming.

MIC quality was so good my clan mates commented on the clarity comparing it to my favorite wired Sennheiser PC 363D headset.  I didn’t find a large change when applying voice effects but the noise cancelling was pretty awesome and tested in both Discord and Team Speak without any issues.

You will always find some compromise in a wireless headset to balance the three important factors, weight, sound processing and battery life.  When listening to these back to back with my HD 6xx series headphones I determined that the sound stage didn't feel as broad and the bass was stifled.  Treble including sounds from mid-bass up to the high-end was extremely bright and crisp lending them well to exposing subtle sounds during games.

I could not find a definitive driver size but I suspect a smaller 40mm driver may be the culprit.

    Conclusion

Sennheiser has definitely raised the bar on wireless gaming with the GSP 670 Wireless Gaming Headset. The in game sound is crisp and the surround sound processing is on par with all of my favorite surround sound headsets. Microphone clarity was exceptional in several chat clients.  I love the build quality and overall comfort.  All this does come at a premium price but the difference over most common brands is definitely noticeable.

If you are on the market for a good set of wireless headphones the Sennheiser GSP 670 Wireless Gaming Headset is just about the best set you can get.  The high speed wireless module never missed a beat and with 20 hours of battery life your headphones may outlast you.

For a music snob, I would still recommend a good set of Sennheiser 6xx series headphones with an aftermarket microphone as the sound stage and bass response were noticeably different.
