GSKill TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz RGB CL16 DDR4 Quad Channel Ryzen Memory Review

As I mentioned before this is a quad channel memory kit designed to match the Ryzen Threadripper platform but, could be used in a standard Ryzen 3 system with four dimms.  As expected you will get four memory modules using the famous Trident Z heatspreader.  The heatspreader is about 1.5” inches tall making them tall enough to interfere with many large aircoolers on the market but will pose no danger in systems with AIO and DIY watercoolers.

The Trident Z modules feature a reversible design where if you look at the module and flip it around you will see the same thing.  This unique design creates a nice cradle at the top where the RGB light bar is located.  In previous non-RGB designs the light bar is a solid piece of plastic often used as an accent color for the module.

The timings and specs on the TridentZ Neo modules are quite good.  3600Mhz @ CL16-19-19-39 using 1.35v when the AMP/XMP profile is enabled.  If you don't elect to set the memory profile the memory clock will default to 2133Mhz at the lowest JEDEC timing spec.
