SilverStone surprised us all with this retro inspired computer case is quite amazing and extremely bold. The first thing you will notice is the unassuming beige that was common in the early PC era starting with the original IBM PCs and then carried forward for over twenty years. This case is built on the success of the FLP-01 and is proving to be even better.
It would seem that LCD is the new ARGB and Thermaltake is jumping in with booth feet to create the Minecube AIO. This quad screen LCD is used to decorate an otherwise simple AIO with LCDs that can be daisy chained together or operated independently.
at Computex 2025 ASUS announced the ROG Crosshair X870 Extreme following in a long tradition of offering the highest end motherboards to the best platforms which now include a full LCD screen.
Several memory makers were showing off multi module high-capacity builds and TeamGroup was one of the few to offer both ultra-fast modules and kits to support ultra-high capacities. This is one of the biggest challenges with modern system builds and TeamGroup seems to have figured it out.
During Computex 2025 MSI was showing a new MPower motherboard based on the B850 chipset and built with a Micro ATX form factor. The board features a single PCI Express Gen5 video card slot and two M.2 drive locations. To aid in memory overlocking the board is limited to only two memory slots and features a monster of a VRM to ensure accurate power delivery and hopefully break some records.
The case is still using the rotated motherboard design but instead of concentrating on high airflow air cooling they have started embracing the AIO watercooler and making the case much narrower than before.
One of the highlights of the booth this year was the new A-Series fan design that may not be the quietest design or move the most air but it does provide more static pressure and airflow within the normal operating range (eg, mid RPM) than any other Noctua fan.
Powercolor was showing a sound card concept that features a high quality audio PHY matched with removable amplifier ICs which allow you to tune the card.
In the midst of cube style case discussions during Computex I wandered into the Xigmatek booth and found this little guy. The Calvary S Cube is a MicroATX cube style case that takes a standard tower design and expands it a little.
The Myth is also customizable. Included with the mouse is an accessory kit that allows you to change out some of the panels but mostly consists of replacement buttons.
At Computex this year Zotac was showing a normal complement of ZBOX designs including a ready to run Steam Machine running SteamOS and this DIY build using the same components.
