SilverStone FLP03 Retro Inspired MicroATX Case Review

When SilverStone first unveiled their retro-inspired towers, it felt like a bold gamble on nostalgia. After reviewing the FLP02 last year, it was clear that there was a massive appetite for a "modern-retro" hybrid that didn't require actual vintage steel to achieve. The series has since evolved with the SilverStone FLP03. Shifting to the MicroATX form factor, the FLP03 refines the formula—offering a smaller footprint while maintaining the iconic "beige box" aesthetic and the tactile satisfaction of a physical Turbo button. In this review, we dive into whether this smaller sibling can match the versatility of its predecessor while handling the heat of 2026’s hardware.

SilverStone Hailstone 360 Industrial AIO Cooler Review

The SilverStone Hailstone 360 bridges this gap by providing a quiet cooling solution for my Threadripper build that can deliver performance when I need it and remain relatively slient the rest of the time. The slim (ish) 360mm radiator fits nicely in most workstation and 4U chassis configurations while the pump block and IMF70 cooling modules are very efficient with space.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe keyboard is an attractive upgrade to my favorite TKL keyboard. The wrist rest is simply the cherry on an already excellent keyboard. I love the smaller TKL format and the price difference to go Deluxe makes it an easy choice. Combining the smaller footprint with a full featured mechanical gaming keyboard just makes sense.

The chassis is extremely well designed and has a ton of options allowing you to build just about any type of system you want. If you are into full DIY watercooling the case supports up to a 420mm radiator in the motherboard tray along with 360mm or 280mm radiator on the included fan panel. Assuming you are in the low rent category you can easily replace the full waterloop with AIO coolers or even standard heatsinks and be happy with your build.
